Medical Medium® Guidelines: Start Your Healing Journey with 10 Simple Steps

However, this other half can be overwhelming to so many. More overwhelming than knowing the root cause of illness (the first half of the battle won) because it requires more of who you are.
While at the same time, who you are is more than enough. Ponder that for a moment. This excerpt from the Soul's Gold chapter of Thyroid Healing expresses the spiritual significance of your challenges.
"You've been picked out of the crowd as a special person who can change the world. Because you hold power, illness tried to hold you back. You probably experienced symptoms along the way, and this may have gotten you labeled with a whole bunch of different names for what was supposedly wrong with you. Yet the plan of you being picked on backfired. Instead of being constrained, you were pushed forward and forced to grow and develop in your soul and spirit. You gained understandings and insights that brought you closer to God."
Those are such powerful living words. So whether you are just starting with Medical Medium, seasoned, or in between, you can only go deeper with the plethora of information available customized to your needs and priorities.
Like everything in life, the healing journey takes work and may seem complicated, challenging, and not easy. On the other hand, know that the energy and attention you give to yourself will only help you to rise and thrive rather than prolong unnecessary suffering. Remember, you are not alone. You have much support throughout the Medical Medium Community and our Heal Live Thrive Community. We see and honor you. We hope the community can be your rock when you need it the most until you are ready to be a beacon of light for others. As Anthony William says,

With that, we are excited to share our first newsletter article with you, Medical Medium® Guidelines, Start Your Healing Journey with 10 Simple Steps.
This article also includes resources from Medical Medium® books, blogs, and archived shows to help continue your understanding and education. May this free resource help you one step at a time. May it move you forward and ignite your healing and cleansing process.
Now, take a deep breath! The following information is a suggestive guide to get you started or restarted on your healing journey and to help you re-evaluate the Medical Medium foundational routines you've set.
Remember, you don't have to implement everything in the first week. No matter where you are on your healing journey, consider yourself a work of art and a work in progress, not perfection. Start with one or two steps. By the way, these steps are not in order. It's up to you to decide which step requires your attention now.
Aim to introduce more steps into your routine over time. Consistency is pivotal to your success. Also, it would be a good practice to listen to your body with what it can and cannot tolerate at this time. Ask yourself, "What does or doesn't work for me, or what is doable?" It is about learning to trust your body and the pace of healing and cleansing that works best for you that negates overwhelm and fear. We are all different. And the healing process needs your compassion and patience.
You CAN reclaim your health by making adjustments to the foods you eat, providing your body with the essential building blocks while lowering triggers, exposures, and troublemakers. Here are your ten steps:
1. Lemon Water: Start each morning with 16oz or 32oz on an empty stomach to help flush and cleanse the liver of the toxins it gathered from your body while you were sleeping. Use the juice of half a lemon for every 16 oz of water. Wait 15-30 mins. And then enjoy your meal or follow with Celery Juice. 2. Celery Juice: Juice 16oz or 32 oz of pure celery and strain. If 16oz or 32 oz is too much, reduce it to 8oz or even 4 oz. For very sensitive people, one teaspoon to start and slowly increase. However, any amount is still beneficial. Celery juice has undiscoverable mineral salts, critical for our bodies to function. These mineral salts starve and kill pathogens, restore your kidneys and adrenals, increase hydrochloric acid in your gut, support neuron function, lower inflammation, rebuild neurotransmitter chemicals, and more. 3. Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie: If you suffer from any neurological issue, addressing heavy metal toxicity is vital to healing. The oxidation of these metals and the runoff that can occur are highly damaging to the brain and nervous system. It inhibits how electricity or messaging moves through the brain. Low or lack of electrical activity can cause the brain tissue to atrophy and deteriorate. Don't limit neurological symptoms and conditions to the physical body. It expands into the mental, emotional, behavioral, and soul. This smoothie consists of five ingredients. The ingredients are the following: cilantro, wild blueberries, spirulina, barley grass JUICE powder, and Atlantic dulse. 4. Remove Troublemaker Foods: If this feels overwhelming, start with one troublemaker food at a time. What is a troublemaker food? Well, let's expand on that question. What role do these foods play in keeping me sick? The top four are eggs, dairy, gluten, and soft drinks. Check out pages 58 to 85 in Cleanse to Heal to know and understand the "why." They are listed and categorized into 5 Levels plus a Bonus with explanations of each troublemaker food.
5. Focus On Healing Foods: Healing foods are anything from fruits, vegetables, herbs, and wild foods. They are considered the "Holy Four" by Medical Medium. These foods are
"...literal sweetness and light that we can take into our bodies to align ourselves with the divine beauty all around us...These are the sacred assistance granted to us to make it through life here. These are the answer for humanity. These are what will save us. To counteract the Unforgiving Four and every other challenge we face, we must turn to the Holy Four."

6. Cut Back On Fats and Salt: Eating high fat and high salt impedes detoxification and healing, weakens the liver, dehydrates the body, keeps toxins deep in the tissues and organs, accumulates in the brain, etc. In the Liver Rescue book, eating a diet of 15 percent or less of healthy fats keeps the liver in Code Green. As a result, the liver can do its job, produce necessary bile, and not struggle. No fat mornings until noon or keeping fats low until dinnertime is a great start. Slowly replacing salt with Atlantic dulse flakes and lemon/lime juice can be helpful. 7. Adrenal Snacks: Medical Medium recommends an adrenal snack every 90 min to 2 hours, but everyone is different. You may need one every 30 mins, and that is okay. This grazing technique keeps your blood sugar stable, which prevents your adrenal glands from interfering and secreting toxic adrenaline to keep you going. It gives rest to your adrenals and allows for more attention on healing rather than the daily battle of fight and flight and survival. Your adrenals and body get a chance to restore in a calm state rather than be hindered in an emergency state. Snacking on fruits or in combination with foods high in mineral salts is best. 8. Supplements: We suggest starting small with one or two supplements. See how your body responds, then wait about a week and add another. If you add too many too fast, you could experience a detox response that makes you uncomfortable or even worse. And the clarity of what is causing your discomfort may not be apparent. It is ideal to start very slow especially if you are a sensitive detoxer.

9. Compassion and Connection: Compassion is the soul of your healing journey. It is critical. Medical Medium says,
"Compassion for yourself heals. Its deep healing power can bring you out of your illness so that you gain your confidence back again."
Compassion is the understanding of your suffering. It allows for a bigger caring perspective than our limited human emotional perspective. Compassion attaches a spiritual meaning to what you are up against, making you feel lighter. You gain greater compassion when you elevate the level of care for yourself and others. At the same time, you have so much compassion for yourself that you awaken to the darkness happening in the world and around you. And you understand that it is not your fault that you are sick. You did not attract your illness to you. Karma did not come around to get back at you.
So what is compassion for you? Compassion may be prayer, meditation, taking naps, nature walks, gently encouraging yourself, asking for support, listening to birds sing, sleeping in, keeping a light heart, reaching out to God and the angels for help, leaning on your community, not judging yourself, focusing on your health, being okay with a messy house, not needing to do constantly, taking a moment to breathe and be, stepping away from what's happening around you, laughter, being yourself, using your FREE WILL for what's best for you, and so on.

Herb Potato Fritters
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup fresh chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup fresh chopped dill
- 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 cups Bob's Redmill Potato flakes
- 3 cups warm water
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients. Add water 1 cup at a time. Mix well until moist but not overly wet. Scoop out a quarter cup and make it into patties.
Cooking instructions for an air fryer:
Place in the air fryer at 360 for 15 minutes or until brown. Make sure to turn over halfway.
Cooking instructions for the oven:
Place in the oven at 400 for 15-20 minutes.
Turn over and bake for another 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
